Sunfest Day 5

Ahh, the long awaited Day 5 of Sunfest. The final day is always jammed packed with great acts, and this year did not disappoint. Day 5 played host to SOSOS, Inner Circle, Rusted Root, Streetlight Manifesto, The Wailers, Blues Traveler, Dropkick Murphys, Alice in Chains, and Ellie Goulding.

Inner Circle played some good reggae tunes and Rusted Root had a solid performance, and with “Send Me On My Way” you can’t go wrong. Streetlight Manifesto was a favorite for sure. Lots of horn and lots of energy. Blues Traveler brought a big crowd to the Tire Kingdom stage and put on a mellow but fun show. Dropkick Murphys were great and had the crowd going pretty nutty. Definitely a performance not to miss. They played “Shipping Up To Boston” before closing with a cover of “Taking Care of Business.” Ellie Goulding closed out Sunfest this year with a crowd pleasing and energetic set. Even quite a few dudes were singing along, though they might not admit it. Lastly, the fireworks show. A great way to close out five long days/nights of live music. They even set off smiley faced fireworks to “Happy” by Pharrell – fitting.
