Friends of Jupiter Beach’s Biggest Fundraising Event of the Year
As May approaches, we’re gearing up to attend the 2024 Jupiter Food and Wine Festival put on by Friends of Jupiter Beach (FJB) with Lush Dog Resort as presenting partner. The festival resembles an all-you-can-eat buffet with dozens of your favorite restaurants serving up bite size renditions of their dishes — and you get to vote for your top picks. There are also drinks to vote on, live music, and our favorite part: adoptable dogs from Furry Friends Adoption. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, May 18 at 1 p.m. and will feature longer hours, more restaurants and wine, and an elevated VIP section.
The Food and Wine Fest is FJB’s biggest fundraising event of the year. The proceeds go towards keeping our beaches clean and dog-friendly by purchasing 400,000 dog waste bags that are distributed free of charge to the public at 29 crossovers on Jupiter Beach and by replacing beach clean-up equipment as needed for weekly clean-ups lead by FJB.
“The Jupiter community is like no other, it is a large town with a small town feel who support each other and show up for each other. Friends of Jupiter Beach is lucky and blessed to be a part of this community for the last 30 years,” said Mary Aguiar, executive director of FJB.
The feeling is mutual.
Last year’s category winners Revenge Rum, Lewis Steakhouse and The Jupiter Grill are returning to attempt to hold their titles, and The Future Buds is returning to perform at the festival.
“We’re stoked to be returning to the fest! Jupiter is hometown to three of our band members and it’s where the music all started. We love our Jupiter community as well as the beautiful beaches that have stood before us,” said Joey Calderaio of The Future Buds.
Joey’s golden retriever, Duchess, is also especially grateful for the efforts by FJB to ensure dogs are welcome from Marcinski Road to Carlin Park.
Tickets are $65 for general admission and include unlimited food and drink tastings. VIP admission tickets are $115 and include early admission (at noon), exclusive food and drink pairings and more.
