Paddleboard Race from Stuart to Jupiter

Blueline Surf & Paddle Co. is partnering with the R3 Foundation for the inaugural Race the Tide paddleboard relay race. The relay will feature teams of paddlers racing the tide for 25 miles of intracoastal from Stuart to Jupiter followed by a bobbing parade of support boats and their passengers.

On Saturday, May 18, paddlers starting at TideHouse in Stuart will head east in the intracoastal, past Sewall’s Point, Cove Road, Bridge Road in Tequesta, Tiger’s Beach and finally reach Guanabanas in Jupiter, their destination. The paddle teams will be followed by their support boats and will be required to stop at 4 check points along the route. Teams will represent local businesses and charities, as well as individuals.

The paddle relay is a symbolic way to show appreciation for our waterways, bring together the paddleboarding community, and of course, spark a little competitive energy. Who doesn’t love a good race? Spectators should meet at Tiger’s Beach (the sandbar on the intracoastal, diagonally across from the Jonathan’s Dickinson park entrance and channel marker 44, and the start of the “No Wake Zone” heading south towards Cato’s Bridge and Jupiter) to watch the race and are encouraged to join the after party at Guanabanas.

To our local businesses, there are opportunities to help sponsor this event and entwine your brand in the excitement of the relay. Contact Blueline Surf & Paddle Co. for more information.
