Dog-Friendly Restaurants in Jupiter

By Haley Dockendorff

Pets, dogs, fur babies…whatever you like to call them, they really are man’s best friend. Always loyal (and usually an attention grabber), life is just better with a dog by your side. To add to the list of reasons why we love the Sunshine State, many of our favorite bars and restaurants have outdoor seating where dogs are always welcome. Now, no more feeling guilty for enjoying a refreshing cocktail while your pup sits at home, wondering where you are. It’s a win-win! Here are some of our favorite dog-friendly restaurants located right in the heart of Jupiter.

Leftovers Café

Located in Bermudiana Shopping Center in Abacoa, Little Moir’s Leftovers Café is a sister joint to Food Shack. Covered in colorful murals and decorations by local artists, Leftovers is the type of place you go to enjoy a fun atmosphere with even better food. Fresh seafood is their specialty, and their menu items change daily. While the joint does have indoor and outdoor seating, dogs are only allowed on the patio. The patio seating is limited, but it does offer cover and shade.

Dive Bar

Dive Bar takes the term “waterfront dining” to a whole new level. The restaurant is on the water and their sweeping patio offers great views of it, but the inside bar also surrounds a 2,000-gallon saltwater aquarium. Unfortunately, dogs are only allowed on the patio area, so you’ll have to leave your pup at home if you want to gawk at the tank. There is plenty of patio seating, however, with lots of umbrellas to keep you and your dog cool. As most waterfront restaurants do, Dive Bar takes pride in their fresh seafood and excellent sushi.

Twisted Tuna

Located right on Jupiter Bay, the Twisted Tuna offers a casual and beachy dockside vibe. Dogs are only allowed outside, but that’s where most of the fun is anyway. Complete with lots of patio seating and their “World Famous Tiki Bar,” it’s a great spot to grab all things seafood under the sun. They even run specials like Taco Tuesday and $1 oysters on Thursdays. Who doesn’t love a good deal?!

Schooners

This place is a little different from the rest; it’s been around since 1984 when it first opened as a gas station. Yup, a gas station turned fish market turned must-try seafood restaurant. Located right on A1A in Jupiter, you can bring your dog to enjoy their dog-friendly outdoor seating area, however it is only high-top tables. Their outside bar is known as “Thirsty Joe’s,” and they host happy hour daily from 3 to 6 p.m.

Tiki 52 Bar & Grill

Tiki 52 is the kind of place you hear the phrase, “It’s 5 o’clock somewhere!” It’s an open-air bar and grill, so dogs are welcome but must be leashed. Here you can relax under an oversized tiki hut with a thatched roof and a view of the water. They typically have live music on the weekends, which is always a plus. Their menu ranges from seafood to sandwiches to salads, with a little something for everyone.

PapiChulo Tacos

Are you and your dog sick of seafood? PapiChulo is here to save your appetite. If you don’t like Mexican food…we don’t know what to tell you. Dogs are allowed on the patio area, which offers a modern and bright atmosphere, perfect to drink a margarita and share some tacos with your furry friends. PapiChulo serves Mexican street-style food, and they say it’s best enjoyed “family style,” sharing different dishes from the menu as the food comes out of the kitchen as it’s prepared

U-Tiki Beach

This Caribbean spot is a great place to bring your pup, so long as they are leashed! U-Tiki is right across the water from the Jupiter Lighthouse, so you get a perfect view of the landmark. Their menu offers some unique items like their Caribbean bowls and hog fish tacos. The outdoor seating area has a covered deck as well as tables on the sand closer to the water with umbrellas all surrounded by palm trees, giving a feeling of a tropical oasis. The tables on the sand are for drinks and appetizers — perfect for enduring the wait list that U-Tiki is infamous for.
