Skaters, up for a fun and relaxed skate contest? Then show up at the 5th Annual Skate and Grind on November 7 at the “505” Teen Center in Delray. The action starts at 3:00pm and all age groups (5-adult) and skaters of all skill levels are welcome to come out.
According to the Skate Park Supervisor Derek Groissl from the Delray Beach Parks and Recreation Department there will be a big turnout. “We’re expecting a good crowd and we’ll have competition for beginners, intermediate, and advanced skill levels. Even if you’re somewhat of a beginner you’ll feel welcome, so come on out—the event is really for all skaters. And, our judges are really good skaters themselves”.
This year’s event is being sponsored by The Atlantic Current Magazine, Nomad Surf Shop, Rockstar Energy Drink, Oh-Cake Surfboard Co., Island Water Sports, DC Shoes, and College Lyfe. In addition to the skating competition there will be live music, prizes, giveaways, and food. Skaters can register starting at 2:00pm, prior to the event.
