Joey Calderaio Announces Fall Tour with Lot 49

Jupiter’s very own reggae prodigy Joey Calderaio is planning to have a very busy autumn. The Palm Beach County native announced a joint tour with San Francisco based band Lot 49 that will take them up and down California throughout September before making their way around Florida. The Stay Golden Tour features ten shows including local dates on Sept. 27 at Boca Raton’s Crazy Uncle Mike’s and Sept. 30 at Stuart’s Terra Fermata Tiki Bar.
Joey told Atlantic Current that the kickoff show on Sept. 12 can’t come soon enough, “I anticipate the crowds on this tour being pretty stoked to hear us since for most of these cities it will be our first time performing in them. It’s always nice to play our tunes to a fresh set of ears!”
Joey and Lot 49 have also collaborated on a new song, “San Francisco Summer.” They previously worked together on the Lot 49 track “Cruise,” where Joey was a featured artist.
Joey couldn’t emit enough positive vibrations about the collab. “Ryan of Lot 49 is incredibly talented as well as a humble and kind musician. It made bouncing ideas back and forth very organic. I also really enjoyed writing in a style that’s different from what I’m currently used to. Where most of my songs are in the pop-reggae realm, ‘San Francisco Summer’ has notes of hip-hop and R&B, making it a whole lot of fun to be experimental. I think we crafted a timeless song together and hopefully it won’t be the last.”
The single — inspired by the freakishly cold weather San Francisco can receive when every other part of America is blazingly hot — is definitely worth a listen. Check out the song wherever you stream music and add a tour date or two to your calendar.
