Though much beloved for their house-made sangria, Papa’s Tapas is now happy to offer a full bar. They recently obtained their liquor license and are wasting no time in making full use of it serving expertly crafted cocktails that will complement any of their Spanish tapas.

Owner Cristobal Parra, Papa, stated “As locals and visitors came in and began asking for drinks outside of wine and beer, we began looking into how we could offer something more and we’re happy we made it happen for our community.”

The cocktail menu has been in play since mid-March and is leaving patrons with smiles on their faces — though that may be the paella as well. You can expect the tequila to flow in La Paloma and the Pineapple Ginger Margarita. There are modern favorites like the Espresso Martini as well as drinks unique to Papa’s like the Dirty Dirty Tini with Spanish Olives and the Sangria Mule.

Happy Hour specials are Monday to Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. and include select food menu items at discounted prices like Rosemary Garlic Wings ($13), Shrimp & Mango Salsa Taco ($10), and Tostones & Avocado Montadito ($6).

Tucked in Pineapple Grove, the acquisition of a liquor license is a step to remain a part of Delray’s lively energy and nightlife in the area. Known for locally owned establishments, Pineapple Grove is home to some of the best of Delray like Akira Back, Brulé Bistro, and of course, Papa’s Tapas.
