AYE AYE, ALL ABOARD TO DOWNTOWN BOYNTON BEACH
All hands on deck! It’s almost time to bring out the faux eye-patches and pirate hats because a very special pirate-themed weekend is on the horizon.
The time has come to put the ‘Pirate’ in ‘Pirate Fest’, so either prepare yourself for the trials and tribulations to come or walk the plank. Pirate Fest is back, and it’s happening right in the heart of Boynton Beach Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. You won’t want to miss this.
From 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, Downtown Boynton Beach will transform itself into a scene right out of Pirates of the Caribbean for the whole family to enjoy.
In our eyes, acting like (and dressing up as) a salty sailor and having fun is socially acceptable 365 days out of the year. But with the festival kicking off on Halloween, it’s perhaps the perfect time to bring out those Pirate costumes, eye patches, and maybe even some spiced rum from the depths of our closets.
Friends and family are all welcome to enjoy the free event. There’s something for everyone to enjoy, with food vendors, pirate fight‑circle demonstrations, perfume making, and market vendors. If you have been looking for an all-day activity that has something for everyone, clear your schedules and full sail ahead!
EVENTS
Live music, pirate performances, and roaming entertainment are just a few of the live entertainment aspects that will be included during Pirate Fest. This one-of-a-kind two day pirate extravaganza is what Captain Jack Sparrow’s dreams were made of.
Bring the kiddo’s around to the Lil Scallywag Zone for family friendly activities like face painting, games, and pirate fun. Let your inner pirate (or inner child) loose.
There will be trick-or-treating opportunities around the festival grounds. Vendors will be handing out treats at their booths, offering a fun and secure environment for your family. The festival also features a Haunted Trail to get you in the spooky spirit.
Plus, take part in interactive pirate experiences and step into the pirates’ camps. Then, head over to Mermaid Grotto to see a real mermaid! Mermaid Jules will be hanging out all weekend and will invite you to explore the grotto. Pirate activities like sword fighting, axe throwing, and archery will also take place across the festival grounds.
As an incentive to wear your best pirate attire, there is of course the crowd favorite costume contest and parade. Don’t miss your chance to win bragging rights and prizes!
All this is free to enjoy for the whole family, as part of Pirate’s Fest’s plan to make this the best Halloween weekend to ever hit Palm Beach County.
