Due South Brewing Company will be releasing their Grapefruit Category 5 IPA today on draft and in cans. It will be available in 4-packs to-go from the brewery taproom, and will be available in limited quantities across South Florida and the Tampa Bay area through Brown Distributing.

“Grapefruit Category 5 IPA is an exciting addition to our lineup for summer,” said Doug Fairall, Brand Marketing Manager. “It’s part of our rotating production of the award-winning Category 5 IPA, which includes the Best Florida Beer 2017 Gold medal winning Oaked Category 5 IPA, previously available in March.”

To create this beer, Due South brewers add copious amounts of local Fort Pierce grapefruit peel to the brewery’s Category 5 IPA as it is finishing fermentation. “This allows the beer to take on all of the characteristic flavors and aromas that we’ve come to love of the grapefruit,” Fairall added.

Grapefruit Category 5 IPA joins a cadre of beers available in the market from Due South Brewing Company, including the successful vanilla bean focused Caramel Cream Ale, the Citra hop forward Citrafied Pale Ale, and Honey Vanilla Wheat – an American wheat ale brewed with local Loxahatchee palmetto honey and finished with fresh vanilla beans.

Due South Brewing Company is located at 2900 High Ridge Rd #3, Boynton Beach, FL 33426
