The Rat’s Mouth sounds like a great blues club or maybe a fun dive rock bar. True to form Boca Raton (Spanish for rat’s mouth) has plenty of great places to catch live music. Here’s a quick rundown of all the spots where you can catch your new favorite band in Boca Raton.

Funky Biscuit

Established in 2011, this Boca restaurant and club thankfully made it out of the other side of the pandemic to continue to provide live music seven nights a week. Their concert calendar is heavy on blues and classic rock; seeing members of rock and roll hall of fame bands like Chicago and The Band grace their stage. Highlights include Misty Mountain playing their Led Zeppelin tribute and Completely Unchained, a Van Halen Tribute.

Crazy Uncle Mikes

Owner Mike Goodwin told Atlantic Current a few years ago the aim for the establishment that bears his nickname, “I wanted a combination of craft beers, craft food and great music.”  He’s constantly experimenting with what graces his stage, “Music is similar to food, everyone has their own tastes. I’m starting off with bands we think are good and entertaining, but we’ll judge from the audience’s responses what they’re looking for in the long run.” Most months feature live music every Wednesday through Saturday night. Some to look out for include Asheville’s Toubab Krewe playing instrumental jams and Chicago blues guitarist Frank Bang.
