This year St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Sunday, so most of us will get a nice full day off to celebrate the man who drove the snakes out from Ireland. The City of Boca Raton and 3VENTS, the team behind Sunset Tequila Festival, want to make the most of a Sunday St. Patrick’s Day with ten hours of planned fun with the Proper St Patrick’s Day extravaganza. They will be celebrating Irish heritage from noon to ten p.m. The event is free and open to all ages.

There will be specialty craft cocktails courtesy of Jameson Irish Whiskey, pints of Guinness and a full bar bursting with other Irish spirits. There will be Guinness 0.0 and mocktails at the designated dry bar for those who prefer not to indulge. Classic Irish cuisine including corned beef sandwiches and bangers and mash will be available via food truck.

If you’d like to further immerse yourself into Irish culture, you can purchase a ticket to the Tasting Tent where they’ll be imbibing in more than a dozen Irish whiskies and spirits.

A bagpipe crew will be bringing all the sentimental types to tears. There will be a craft fair, and the fidgety among us can be active playing cornhole and having a go at ax throwing. Kid friendly events include face painting, a bounce house and an obstacle course.

DJ GQ from Miami radio station Y100 will be spinning tunes. The Adam David Band and Spred the Dub, an Atlantic Current fave, will perform live. While Spred the Dub probably won’t play any traditional Irish jigs you can count on them providing an irie soundtrack.

Just remember to wear green, so you don’t give any leprechauns an excuse to pinch you.
